Here are some recent projects

WOWOW Robot

Since many years, WOW Company is preserving environment with its industrial surface mixers for tanks up to 3 m water depth. Looking to enlarge its working scope, WOW Company has developed a complementary means to surface mixer: an underwater and amphibious 4-wheel drive tool carrier, the WOWOW 4WD !

Looking as a compact automotive robot, equipped with 4 wheel drive oversized, mounted on a stainless steel articulated frame, this deep water stirring machine is capable to move in worth and submerged conditions, up to 4 m deep. It can even climb up to 30% slopes.

It’s equipped with a multi-purpose tool-holder, which can be fixed on different positions and could wear for example double acting pump, high-pressure water nozzle, sampling and analysing tool, …

According to the model, movements in the tank are decided by local operator, or fully supervised by computer and based on GPS positioning and digital cartography.

Infrasonic generators

Within the framework of its R&D activities, a spin-off company of the University of Liege contacted WOW for the development of an infrasonic generator based on the Wave Ball. This generator will be used to frighten the fish, which tend to penetrate in the water intakes of the hydroelectric dams and to get decimated by the turbines. Liner sealer

In the framework of a pool renovation, one of our partners was confronted to a problem with the renovation of his pool’s liner. Surface of the pool did not allow the placement of the new liner in one part. WOW therefore developed a project to deliver a robot for the safe sealing of the liner.
